EXPERIENCE
My interest in journalism arose in 2017 after I contributed to an online article for The Guardian, which promoted girls school sports. I expressed my own experiences as well as suggestions to increase participation levels of young girls in sport.

In 2018 I demonstrated my creativity and curiosity whilst working on the news desk at Cambridge News. I pursued and reported on a story of an elderly gentleman whose war medals were stolen. The article received increased engagement on social media platforms, and as a result, the war medals were reunited with the veteran less than a week later. I produced a variety of features focusing on Christmas food and events occurring across Cambridgeshire, which were published in the run-up to Christmas.

After completing my A-Level's in 2019 I began studying for a BA in Journalism at City, University of London. The course has expanded my journalistic skill set, enhancing my existing broadcast and print knowledge.
In November 2019, I joined the team at Stylist Magazine for a weeks internship. I contributed to online feature articles, including a piece focusing on women who made a difference worldwide in 2019.

During the summer of 2020, I began working freelance for The Vegan Review. I wrote and published weekly articles, including a piece on Oxfam's Second-hand September, where I interviewed
influencers and advocators of slow
fashion. I implemented new ideas such as vegan food guides that appealed to consumers and increased readership.

I wrote to house style at both outlets, displaying consistency and fluency throughout all articles.

I currently write a bi-weekly column for Carrot Magazine which explores my life on Mersea Island.
